LIFE IN FOUR SEASONS
SEASONS
Looking from an abstract perspective, the time we have in this world is probably comparable to four seasons in the entire Anthropocene epoch. It is a fleeting moment just like butterflies being alive for merely 2 weeks, life may seem somewhat short but can be a wonderful journey if we embrace the beauty in every season.
SPRING
Is when flowers bloom, life would seem so beautiful. It represents our first important decade of conscious adult living. This is our precious twenties when life is at its prettiest and untainted by money and corrupted relationships. It is also the time when our relationships, career, marriage, all begin to take shape and define the path we may embark on. This is the time when we should seek and embrace the beauty and joy of what life bestow upon us.
SUMMER
Typifies everything that which is at its peak. From plants blooming to animals and insects foraging. That is the essence of our thirties, our next 10 years of blistering life when heat rises, life will seem to be so much more challenging but rewarding. Some will have children while others may focus entirely on their careers. Or some will be juggling both children and career. Regardless, this is the period when we will have to choose our paths and our focus, be it family or career. There are of course the select few lucky ones who will perhaps have the luxury of enjoying a career gifted to them. Regardless, life may seem like a stroll for these entitled few. But for the rest, they will strive forward embracing their hopes that good life is there ahead of them.
AUTUMN
Fall or autumn defines our maturity. Characterized by falling leaves and changing colors, this is the time we see sublime beauty and appreciate the serenity of passing moments. This is the time when we will begin to find joy even in unexpected circumstances. Ten to thirty years of toiling and struggle gifts us plenty of experiences but also takes a toll on our body and soul. Depending on our level of maturity and life experiences, this is our 40s, 50s and 60s, when wounds will heal but scars will remain. They will shape our character and define what kind of person we will become. Reaching the end of this period of struggle is akin to experiencing the beautiful falls before winter arrives, when the struggle ends wilting begins. When the leaves fall, the end begins.

WINTER
The freezing dawn, frequently unbearable wind chill with little sunshine characterizes the quiet winter months. Perhaps in Malaysia, this may mean constant rainy days, gloomy skies and cool caressing breeze. These days, we slow down in our movement, sit next to a fireplace away from the cold and watch the gentle falling snow. Life somehow slows to a hibernating pace. Peaceful, but yet so symbolic of our life journey coming to an end. Winter will be the last stage of our lives to reflect and find closure to unresolved matters close to our hearts. Moments become extremely precious, memories are what is left in us when we struggle to find the strength to move like when we were in our 30s. Those who found wisdom through autumn will soon find true enlightenment in winter.
